Niels Eikelboom (1973) is a classical guitarist. After taking classes with Jan Bartlema at the music school, he graduated from the Conservatory in Zwolle in 1998 and in August 2000 from the “Messiaen Academy” also in Zwolle, both in the Netherlands, where he was taught by Jacob Vlijm. He took master classes with guitarists such as Odair Assad, Pavel Steidl, Vladislav Blaha, Carlo Marchione, Aldo Lagrutta, among others.

 After these studies on the guitar he concentrated on the musical learning process of younger children. He studied this subject and graduated on it at the Conservatory in Amsterdam in 2003. Eikelboom has been performing as a solo guitarist and as a member of ensembles. He has also contributed to a CD with music by the Dutch composer Pieter van der Staak.

His compositions (educational) are distributed by Productions Do'Z (Canada) and Edition Daminus (Germany).

 He had a position as a guitar teacher at the Regional Institute for Artistic Development (SCALA) in Meppel and at the Muzerie (music school) in Zwolle. Currently he concentrates on performing music and works as a teacher in his hometown Steenwijk in the Netherlands.
